Biografía: I originally trained as an actor and worked in the professional theatre, television and films, for twelve years. I then went to university and gained a first class degree in Classics and went on to write a PhD thesis in Ancient Greek politics, which was published by Oxford University Press. At the same time I qualified as a Blue Badge London guide and for nearly thirty years I have worked as guide and tour manager of the British isles, Italy and France. In the meantime I have publsihed seven novels (under a pen name) and most recently have been lecturing on cruise ships.

Intereses especiales: My special interest has always been people, what they do, to and with each other. This has led me into history and literature, but also into the many fields of human invention, architecture, music and painting, science and engineering.
