Biography: I studied at LONDON UNIVERSITY and the CENTRAL SCHOOL OF SPEECH & DRAMA before living in France and Spain.

I have worked as an actor and a comedy writer in theatre, radio and television for many years. I also lecture and give After Dinner Talks.

TV work includes presenting THE TUDORS (Showtime USA). Acting credits includes Lindsay Anderson's West End production of THE CHERRY ORCHARD and the Channel 4 sitcom, TANDOORI NIGHTS. Recent Radio work as a ‘London Expert’ includes Barbara Simpson’s HOT TALK 560 KSFO San Francisco, MARK & KRISTIN SHOW KOST 103.5FM Los Angeles, FRANCIS LEGAULT Radio CBC Canada and ROBERT ELMS SHOW BBC Radio London 94.9

TV credits include comedy scripts for Bruce Forsyth, Angus Deayton, Tim Brooke-Taylor and Robert Kilroy-Silk. I recently worked as a writer for Visit London on the London 2018 World Cup Bid.

I won the GUILD AWARD for BEST GUIDE in 1989 and I escort groups around the world as a Tour Manager.

More recently I have trained and examined new guides for the London Blue Badge course.

I also host & compere history weekends for the HILTON group with speakers including Dr. David Starkey, Adam Hart-Davis, Peter Snow, Jennie Bond, Maxwell Hutchison, Michael Dobbs, Andrew Roberts, Ron Hutton, Sir Roy Strong, Peter Ackroyd & Robert Hardy. I am a regular guide for LONDON WALKS.

I aim to inform and entertain. Whether it's a coach tour for school children, a site visit for tourists or a medical conference for international professors, I hope my passengers leave me well-informed with a big smile. Humour, knowledge and flexibility are the key words.

"Mark Conroy was truly outstanding. He made each excursion fun, enjoyable and a success! He knew how to entertain & captivate this group. His funny and interesting stories made for memorable moments with our students transfixed and asking for more details". S.Wilson,Maryland, USA.

"You were an integral part of a success trip and already the feedback has been excellent!" Phil Maynard, Hallmark Incentives, UK.

"Great after dinner speech. The subtle humour kept us smiling all night. Thanks to you my clients had a brilliant evening". Peter Bafghi/BT Global
