Important Information About Your Tour
Please read, sign and return this form to your Guide before you start the tour.
Introduction
Welcome to your London Cycle Tour. The following information will help ensure your safety and enable you to enjoy the tour to the full. Your Guide will be able to answer any questions you may have about this form and will be on hand to provide assistance throughout the tour.
Before You Start
Clothing: Please wear comfortable clothing and if the weather looks uncertain bring along a waterproof garment. Make sure you have suitable footwear such as trainers - high heels are not recommended.
Safety Equipment: You will be provided with a high visibility jacket/sash. We recommend that you wear a helmet when you are on the bike.
Bikes: If you are using your own bike, it is your responsibility to make sure that it is functioning correctly and is roadworthy.
Health: This tour involves moderate exercise and you participate at your own risk. It is therefore important that you consider whether any medical conditions that you may have will affect your enjoyment of the tour. If you have any reason to believe that the tour will endanger your health or that a medical condition will prevent you completing the tour you should not participate.
Drugs and Alcohol: If you have been drinking or have been taking drugs that may affect your judgement (whether prescription or recreational) you should not participate in the tour.
While on the Tour
Road Safety: these tours often involve cycling along busy roads. Remember:
- You must stay on the left hand side of the road
- Always stop at a red traffic light or a zebra crossing (if a pedestrian is trying to cross).
- Be aware of traffic around you at all times.
- Be aware of pedestrians.
- Try to keep up with the rest of the group and if possible ensure you keep your Guide in sight.
Children
Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
General
Please be aware of other members of the tour group. If you see somebody who is having difficulty, please let your Guide know.
In wooded areas please look out for potholes, low tree branches and other hazards.
If you feel unwell or are aware that your bike is not functioning correctly please alert your Guide immediately.
